Dan Watkins

Dan Watkins has built his private practice in Lawrence over the past 25 years.  Specializing in managing financially troubled insurance companies, Dan is designated as a Certified Insurance Receiver by the International Association of Insurance Receivers.  Dan also represents and advises a wide range of clients in local, regional, and national business and governmental matters. He has extensive experience representing clients in zoning, planning, land use, and eminent domain proceedings.  Prior to private practice, Dan served in several key positions in Kansas state government.

An active member of his community, Dan has held leadership roles in numerous local, regional, and national non-profit organizations.  He currently serves as a board member for the MS Society – Mid-America Chapter, and is Co-Chair of Economic Lifelines, a statewide transportation coalition.  He has also recently served as chair of the Kansas Bioscience Authority and the Kansas Development Finance Authority.

Patrick Watkins

Patrick Watkins manages the firms local practice, providing counsel to clients of all types. Most of his practice is dedicated to serving the needs of local small businesses. Patrick has experience in a wide range of real estate transactions, property development, valuation-based litigation, and state and federal tax credit projects.

After graduating from the University of Kansas Law School in 2008, Patrick worked with a boutique real estate law firm based in Kansas City. In 2013, he returned to Lawrence to manage the firm’s local practice.

Patrick maintains and active role in the local community, serving on the boards of Downtown Lawrence, Inc., the Lawrence Preservation Alliance, and the Lawrence Adult Soccer League. Patrick and his wife and two children live in East Lawrence.
